چکیده
Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) is an opportunistic Gram-negative bacteria that affects patients in intensive care units and chronic respiratory disease patients. Compared to other bacteria, it has a wide genome (around 6.3-Mb) supports its metabolic versatility antimicrobial resistance. Fosfomycin (FF) primarily used as oral treatment for urinary tract infections (UTIs). FF diffuses inside the cell via glycerol-3-phosphate transporter (GlpT) PA, well bacteria. In such E. coli, glucose-6-phosphate (UhpT) functions transporter. Since mutant GlpT leads resistant assumed only However, also PA uses and, thus, homologous proteins of UhpT may be present genome. Here, we attempt find distant related homologue PA. A Hidden Markov Model (HMM) was created seek Major facilitator family (MFS) domain 21 genomes 14 CF annotated with prokka statistical analysis performed (MCC: 0.84, ACC: 0.99). Then, HMM applied genomes. Besides actual GlpT, glpt_1, one more protein found out genomes, glpt_2. glpt_2 clusters closer than selected build model. Inhibition of quorum sensing by a Pseudomonas aeruginosa dksA homologue.
The Pseudomonas aeruginosa las (lasR-lasI) and rhl (rhlR-rhlI) quorum-sensing systems regulate the expression of several virulence factors, including elastase and rhamnolipid. P. aeruginosa strain PR1-E4 is a lasR deletion mutant that contains a second, undefined mutation which allows production of elastase and rhamnolipid despite a nonfunctional las system. We have previously shown that this s...
متن کاملAge-related susceptibility to Pseudomonas aeruginosa ocular infections in mice.
The susceptibility of newborn and infant mice to eye infection by Pseudomonas aeruginosa was studied in 5-, 10-, 15- to 16-, and 21-day-old mice. In the first of three age-related susceptibility experiments, inoculation of P. aeruginosa under the unopened eyelids of infant (5- and 10-day-old) mice in the absence of prior corneal wounding resulted in acute infection and rapid death of many of th...

Background:Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a gram negative non facultative bacterium and one of the members of normal flora in different sites of body in healthy humans.this bacterium can resist in fluids and hospital environments for a long time.Pseudomonas aeruginosa has two systems for glucose uptake:a low affinity oxidative pathway and a high affinity phosohorylative pathway.Although the role of ...
متن کاملFunctional replacement of the Escherichia coli hfq gene by the homologue of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
The 102 aa Hfq protein of Escherichia coli (Hfq(Ec)) was first described as a host factor required for phage Qbeta replication. More recently, Hfq was shown to affect the stability of several E. coli mRNAs, including ompA mRNA, where it interferes with ribosome binding, which in turn results in rapid degradation of the transcript. In contrast, Hfq is also required for efficient translation of t...
